Student Nora: “It’s Easy to Enjoy Life at Yrkesgymnasiet”

Nora enjoys attending Yrkesgymnasiet and believes that future students need not worry. With many students sharing similar interests, a calm school culture, and teachers who are dedicated to each student, it's easy to both enjoy and succeed at school. "You can get far just by being on time and doing your best," she says.
Nora Doherty is studying in the Electrical and Energy Program at YG Väsby. She values the school and finds it easy to make friends since most students share common interests.
Moreover, there is a calm atmosphere in the classrooms, which enhances concentration. The school continuously works to maintain and develop this environment.
“Every month, we have development sessions where we discuss important topics. There are also posters in the corridors with QR codes where we can submit suggestions,” she explains.
Because of this, Nora wants to reassure future Yrkesgymnasiet students who might feel anxious about starting high school:
“Remember that everyone is equally nervous on the first day, but it’s much easier to find friends than you might think,” Nora continues.
“You can get far just by being on time and doing your best. Also, don’t hesitate to ask questions. The teachers are excellent at answering.”
The helpfulness and engagement of the teachers make it easier for students:
“They are skilled, provide the right support, and work hard to ensure everyone gets the right apprenticeship placement.”
