Moa and Egil Graduated as Award-Winners in Leadership and Sales
August 13, 2024
Already in high school Moa Larssen and Egil Bergström achieved success as young entrepreneurs. This summer they graduated from Affärsgymnasiet – and their bright careers have only just begun.
Moa Larssen and Egil Bergström are two of this year’s graduates from Affärsgymnasiet Gävle. Moa completed the business program (ekonomiprogrammet), while Egil pursued the sales and service program (försäljnings- och serviceprogrammet).
It’s clear that Moa and Egil chose the right high school. Throughout the interview, they frequently highlight UF (Young Enterprise) as one of the best aspects of their time at school. Entrepreneurship is one of the cornerstones of Affärsgymnasiet’s concept – in fact, the school is among the top in Sweden when it comes to young entrepreneurship.
– The absolute best part of my time at school has been running UF. I’ve learned so much about entrepreneurship and have developed tremendously as a person! I’ve made new friends and built relationships with entrepreneurs that will be valuable for life, says Moa, with Egil agreeing:
– The fact that the school allows us to combine skills from all programs into one company makes it even more exciting. Applying what we’ve learned in school to our UF company has been one of the most enjoyable experiences.
Framgångsrika och eftertraktade redan nu
Despite having just graduated, Moa and Egil have already tasted the sweetness of success. Along with their schoolmate Elsa Westlund, they ran the UF company Bismart UF, which achieved several successes during the UF year. For instance, they won three awards at the UF fair – Moa even placed third in the category of Young Leader of the Year.
– I am so proud of what we have accomplished, and going up on stage three times was incredibly exciting, she says.
Egil, who served as the salesperson in the UF company, is indeed passionate about sales. His long-standing goal has been to become a car salesperson – a goal he has already achieved.
– In July, I started working full-time as a junior salesperson at Bilbolaget. Now, I look forward to continuing to develop as a car salesperson and establishing myself further within the company.
Moa also has job opportunities ahead of her, specifically three different positions.
– I have three jobs lined up for the first few months after graduation, and it feels incredibly exciting, she says.
What do you hope future students at Affärsgymnasiet will experience?
– That more students get to experience what a great school this is, with dedicated and skilled teachers, says Egil.
