Graduates with straight A’s – wants to help other students
June 12, 2024
Artin is graduating from Affärsgymnasiet with the highest possible grades. In addition, the top student runs a company that aims to support students in improving their study habits.
In the summer of 2024, Artin Bagher graduated from Affärsgymnasiet Malmö with the highest possible grades. Bagher finished with a merit value of 22.5, and according to his teachers, he would have achieved even higher if the grading system allowed it.
– It’s been A++ in every course. Sometimes we’ve almost had to hold him back, says teacher Stefan Larsson.
The grades open doors to top-tier programs. But the economics student wants to broaden his knowledge even further. The next step is a foundation year in technology at Lund University to take courses in physics and mathematics that aren’t part of the economics program.
– After that, I want to apply for medical school or an engineering program, he says.
That Artin reaches the top is fitting since he also runs the UF company “Betygboost UF,” an online platform that helps students with studying. The UF company has been so successful that he earned a spot in the national finals in the “Service of the Year” category.
– It’s been a lot recently with both studies and the company. But now that I’m done with school, I can continue running it as a real limited company. I believe it has great potential, he says.
Artin’s best advice to other students (besides using the Betygboost UF platform) is to have a clear goal for high school. It becomes easier to stay motivated and put in those extra hours.
– If you don’t know how school can help you reach your goals, you’re probably not going to work hard enough, he says.
How does it feel to graduate with the highest grades?
– Det känns underbart, jag kan knappt förstå att jag är i mål. Jag vill passa på att tacka familjen, lärarna och deras undervisning. Utan dem hade det aldrig gått.
God ambassadör
In addition to excelling academically, Bagher has been a full-fledged ambassador for everything that Affärsgymnasiet stands for.
Teachers attest that his positivity and commitment have enriched the experience for everyone involved in the classroom, in the mentoring program, and during various school events. He even managed to bring this positive ambassadorship abroad when the school traveled to India.
– As a teacher, it has been fantastic to see, says Stefan Larsson.
