With sustainable art innovations and a smart service for academic success, students from Affärsgymnasiet are awarded new spots for the national finals in UF (Young Entrerprise).
This is part of a series of articles about the work and people behind one of Sweden’s best high schools for entrepreneurship.
The competition for Ung Företagsamhet in Skåne is fierce, with several hundred students competing. Despite this, students from Affärsgymnasiet Malmö managed to navigate through the needle’s eye and win tickets to the national finals.
Picture This Canvas UF won in the category of Best Craft, and Betygboost UF won in the category of Best Service.
With sustainable art innovations and a service that promotes equality in academic opportunities, they impressed the jury.
Picture This Canvas UF combines personal art with sustainability. Using textile waste and discarded wood from schools in Malmö, they transform digital images into physical canvases.
Betygboost UF levels the playing field for academic success with a service that provides study materials, customized lesson plans, and direct contact with high-achieving student mentors.
The students are thrilled with the awards and are now preparing for the Swedish finals, which will take place at the end of May.
– We are incredibly proud, say Maxamed Nuur, Furkan Muhammed Akgul, and Ahmad Elhassen behind Picture This Canvas.
– I can hardly wait for the national finals; it will be an honor to represent the school, says Artin Mohammad Bagher from Betygboost UF.
