Affärsgymnasiet’s Graduation Rate Far Above Average

With a graduation rate of 96.5% last year, Affärsgymnasiet Helsingborg significantly surpasses the national average for university preparatory programs, which stands at 81.4%. – We are extremely proud, says the school’s principal, Linda Strand.

– For the past two years, we’ve been systematically tracking results over time. We’ve increased individual follow-ups, improved class conference result tracking, and teachers have been supporting each other more with student-related issues. We’re also providing earlier intervention and making better use of coaching time, says principal Linda Strand about the recipe for success.

In addition to local efforts, Linda highlights the positive impact of the new support system from the school’s education provider, including the introduction of special education teachers.

– New routines have been established, and we’ve become better at identifying students facing difficulties. One key factor has been the new student review process introduced by the education provider, ensuring that no student slips through the cracks. I believe it’s a well-placed initiative, and I look forward to continued strong results. This, combined with our local practices, has greatly benefited the students’ graduation rates.

In conclusion, Linda expresses immense pride in the school and its teachers.

– It’s especially rewarding to achieve such a high graduation rate, given that we are a large school with almost 500 students. We are very proud!
