February 20, 2024
Three of Värmland's top 10 UF (Young Enterprise) companies come from Affärsgymnasiet. This was confirmed after the students behind these companies were awarded coveted spots in the regional finals in the category of Best UF Company.
This is part of a series of articles about the work and people behind one of Sweden’s best high schools for entrepreneurship.
The successes continue for Affärsgymnasiet. The qualifying round in the Best UF Company category for the entire Värmland Region has concluded. After tough competition with hundreds of companies, Affärsgymnasiet Karlstad managed to secure three of the ten finalist spots.
Ekonomiäventyret UF, Tjänstefabriken UF and Mino-Vårdguide UF are moving on to Värmland’s UF Fair. A win there would mean a coveted spot in the national finals.
– We are extremely proud of our talented students, says school head Catarina Altblom.
Successful Entrepreneurship
The school has every reason to be proud, as the students have demonstrated both successful and innovative entrepreneurship.
Elin Nordgren and Minna Wendegård Jarnevi, the minds behind Ekonomiäventyret UF, work to make knowledge about personal finance and sustainable living accessible.
Amanda Pettersson and Tindra Sturesson from Tjänstefabriken UF succeed in their well-executed assignments as a staffing company.
Lily Massoudi, the creator of Mino-Vårdguide UF, is recognized for her innovative health app.
The students have different business ideas but share a common drive and attention to detail. These qualities are essential for all types of entrepreneurship and are highly valued by the Young Enterprise jury.
At the regional fair on February 21, the students will face a new jury, which will decide who advances to the national finals.
