A year of achievements and adventures – Affärsgymnasiet Gävle looks back
September 25, 2024
As the new school year begins, the staff at Affärsgymnasiet Gävle reflect on the past year and look ahead to the new one.
During the 2023/2024 academic year, students have diversified traditional classroom learning with real-world projects and collaborations to gain the most comprehensive skills possible.
Huge success at the UF trade fair
A highlight of the year was the regional UF trade fair held in March. After countless hours of planning and hard work, we were thrilled to see our students win a total of ten awards for Affärsgymnasiet Gävle.
The success story didn’t end there. In addition to the regional triumph, Bismart UF’s webshop was chosen as the second best in all of Sweden, while Två vänner UF made it all the way to the national championship, competing against the best UF companies in the entire country. These achievements are just a few examples of our students’ hard work and dedication.
Case studies enhanced entrepreneurial abilities
Last year, we worked on various entrepreneurial case studies to enhance our students’ business skills and solidify Affärsgymnasiet’s position as Sweden’s top UF school.
Another popular case was the Microcredit Loans project, where first-year students worked in groups to lend money through the Kiva platform to projects in developing countries.
The case studies were highly successful, contributing to the school’s and the UF companies’ successful year.
The project connected the school to the global community.
Throughout the year, we participated in several Erasmus+ projects, taking us to Portugal, Finland, and Lithuania. Additionally, several third-year students had the opportunity to complete a two-week internship in Spain. These experiences were both educational and inspiring, providing students with invaluable insights into different cultures and work environments.
Embracing autumn with optimism
As the new academic year begins, we are excited to welcome back our returning students and introduce our new freshmen to the TBS spirit and our core values: courage, strength, and passion with heart.
